Actually, - a plugin for LMS exists that allows it to play any music file by simple drag'n'drop. The file is temporarily transferred to LMS and queued for playback, but not stored in your music database (repository). This plugin is named "Drag and Drop music files to play (v0.1)". I haven't tried, but I guess if you activate this plugin and then set LMS as your default player in Windows 10, it actually will work.
