Is Squeezelite-X and LMS running on the same PC, then? I've have been reworking the code that communicates with the server in order to make it more robust and react in a more competent way when the server reboots, when LMS is restarted, when the client wakes up and the server is no longer there, etc. Exactly the kinds of things you have going on. What it should be doing is quietly handling the problem by waiting and retrying in the background until it is able to connect. After some period of time (between 20-30 seconds) it will show the message you saw, and stop trying. In that case, you'll need to go into settings and click "apply", which resets everything and tries again. What I need to do for you is allow more time for LMS to startup. 20-30 seconds is not enough time. I just put up 0.41 with an increased "retry period" timeout for now. I still need to refine what to do after the timeout, probably provide an option to keep trying.
