Correct. rgdawson wrote: > > Then once I do connect get the MAC address from it, and do WOL whenever > I reconnect if needed. > R Greg Dawson Yep. rgdawson wrote: > > Question: Can the server go to sleep while Squeezelite-X is connected? > Do I need to send anything to server to keep it awake? > R Greg Dawson Good question. What happens now with the current build ? As far as I can tell, it just sits there thinking it is still talking to the server and eventually comes up with a socket error. At that point I suggest a WOL to the last known server. I just sent my server to sleep, Squeezelite-X didn't seem to notice, then I used WakeMeOnLan (a cool little freeby that can send WOL to a previously seen mac address) to wake the server up, and Squeezelite-X allowed me to play the next track. However, while the server was asleep I managed to blank the left hand pane by clicking New Music and when the server restarted the left hand pane remained blank while the right hand pane updated.
