Well right there is one of the problems. Translators are first class citizens as well. Whilst translator preferences don't have overriding priority, they are important, so we strive to create something that works nicely for everybody. That's why this is hard. Definitely keep coming up with ideas; it's the only way we'll find a good solution. But you have to keep the people doing localisation in mind as well as the people doing internationalisation.
