I recently converted one of my sites to Django. At first I was hesitant to use trunk. But soon I realized there were some features in trunk I wanted to use. And, when I started to customize the admin interface and compared the current admin to the newforms-admin branch I decided to switch to newforms-admin after asking a few questions on the user list. Having chosen to do so, it wasn't difficult to figure out that I needed to pay attention to the mailing lists. To minimize the possibility of problems I haven't been updating from svn regularly. But, I've been keeping up with the mailing list watching for announcements of features I might benefit from. After seeing the announcement that the qs-rf branch had been merged into trunk and into the newforms-admin branch I waited a day or three for the dust to settle, then gave it a try. I have test and production versions of the Django site set up on my web server. But, for this type of testing I copied my site and the Django source it was running against to a separate box so I could try the qs-rf update in complete isolation from the live site. I ran svn update, found the couple of spots that required code changes on my site quite easily, and with the help of the documentation made the necessary changes. I was running happily against the qs-rf code in short order. Now, admittedly the site in question is fairly simple right now and only required a few code changes for qs-rf. Larger more complex sites would undoubtedly be more challenging to convert. Kevin http://www.RawFedDogs.net http://www.WacoAgilityGroup.org Bruceville, TX Si hoc legere scis nimium eruditionis habes.
