#7210 isn't strictly part of the aggregates work, but Nicolas did work on it, and it is on my todo list for v1.1. Work-in-progress is in my github repository [1]. The code works as-is, but there are one or two small design/scope issues that need to be resolved before the patch can be committed. I'm going to post a separate message later this evening soliciting feedback on these issues.
