I haven't got any stats to hand, but it definitely happens, and fairly
regularly, too.

That said, I'll completely concede that it would be better to manage this
sort of problem a different way. A single mailing list with tags for
developer content, for example, would avoid the problem of having to give
people a hostile response when they hit the wrong mailing list. However,
Google Groups doesn't really give us many options here.
