Hey Chris, there's a PR https://github.com/django/django/pull/14686 for
ticket #23356 which looks like it's similarly playing around with `in_tag`
... maybe there's enough overlap with that (which regrettably now needs
rebasing because of me!) to deal with? I've only had a cursory glance at
the diff though.
