I dont see how its even possible to compare what Rosa Parks did with
something that was said and done in a satirical manner.

I honestly wouldn't even give the time of day to anything Dame Edna says
because of who he/she is. Not to say that what Dame Edna said was ok - but
that sometimes we have to pick the battles that we fight and do it the right
way. As far as Rosa Parks goes - she was _not_ the first person who refused
to move to the back of the bus, but the NAACP and other civil rights leaders
at the time decided that had they had to wait for the right time and the
right person that can withstand the media scrutiny that would follow because
they felt that all the other people that refused to move to the back of the
bus would not be a good enough "case" to be thrust into national attention.

If it offended you then do what ever you feel is needed to make your actions
heard - but also be prepared to accept the fact that there are people that
may think that it was not something to take so seriously and that efforts
for wiping out racism should be concentrated where it really matters.

And before I get flamed - know that I have and will always be a victim of
racism on some level, and I do feel strongly about how racism still exists
in the country - but you have to choose your battles and I believe this is
one that a waste of time to fight.

Thats my 2cents ...

Vinny
