Well, I have two machines running DKIM, one to sign (outgoing server) and one
to verify
(ingoing mail server).
The signing machine is a X86 under Solaris 10 - so lo traffic - around 2000
messages a
day. Top gives :
PID USERNAME LWP PRI NICE SIZE RES STATE TIME CPU COMMAND
20701 root 7 59 0 26M 25M sleep 28:17 0.00% dkim-filter
The other machine is a Sparc under Solaris 10 - with a higher traffic ~ 50K
messages
verified a day. Top gives :
PID USERNAME THR PRI NICE SIZE RES STATE TIME CPU COMMAND
839 root 7 59 0 96M 95M sleep 37:19 0.02% dkim-filter
IMHO, at the same traffic level, memory usage under Linux shall be higher than
under Solaris.
