Hi all, am I alone feeling we might have a use for some "fine-tuning" options to "filter" the kind of failure report one wishes to receive (and cooperating receivers wish to generate) for RUF destination(s)?
I very much see the value of receiving all messages failing "SPF and/or DKIM" even when the end result of the DMARC check is pass, so I'm not wishing to exclude any kind of reporting by default. I very much see the need to be prepared to process lots of messages, before switching "ruf" on, which is a free choice for the domain owner. And obviously one can filter reports after receiving them, so I'm not advocating a change in the current provisions or semantics, but were I able to tell the receiver not to bother generating and sending me a common and possibly acceptable strain of auth failures in one of the supported auth checks, which I'll devnull on sight anyay, I would somehow feel more "eco-friendly". Cheers, Davide (I somehow have a feeling I might be annoying someone by raising the point, anyway, my firehose is primed - do not hesitate to use the flamethrower if you fee like I deserve it!)
