If you caught the "DMARC and ESPs" talk in Baltimore <http://www.maawg.org/system/files/DMARCESPSender.pdf>, you may remember the customer who implemented a DMARC policy for their domain, and as a side-effect uncovered fraud in their affiliate program. It's a great story, and we're pretty sure there are more of them out there.

That's where you come in. Did you try to roll out DMARC for your company or your customers earlier this year? Did it go completely smoothly, with no problems or surprises of any kind?

If so, congratulations! You can stop reading right now. Thanks.

I didn't take your advise, sorry :-)

If, on the other hand, you did hit a snag or two, come tell us a story. We are the DMARC Demystified group, and our goal is to compile some educational materials for a less-technical audience, to evangelize for wider adoption among senders. Of course, there's already a wealth of excellent technical material out there, answering all of these questions in detail. We'd like to draw people in, get them interested, and point them to that material when they want to go deeper.

And we think the key to that is good stories. Everybody loves stories, especially ones about somebody like them meeting adversity and overcoming it. So we're putting together a few case studies that illustrate our main points by example, since people also learn best from examples.

Please contact us at [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> --- that's myself and Trent Adams.

Also, please feel free to come join the discussion at http://www.maawg.org/group/dmarc-demystified, open to MAAWG members.

I think I'm speaking on behalf of more small businesses and individual consultants, when I call for a discussion on a place accessible for _everyone_, not just for MAAWG members. Although the minimum membership fee for MAAWG might seem negligible for large companies, it's not for small businesses and individuals.
