In general, DKIM can pass across simple forwarding, where SPF fails.
If used properly —signing the fields recommended in Section 5.4.1 of DKIM and
not, e.g., Content-Type:, Content-Transfer-Encoding:, and MIME-Version:— then
it can pass across well behaved MLM transformations, if the header is
canonicalized in relaxed mode.
The l= tag had a similar purpose, but it would only be usable for text/plain
messages where the transformation only appends a footer and not a subject tag.
Few signers use it.
note i did not write dmarc here
DMARC, and Yahoo and others, only made DKIM relevant.
