are you sure its strictly a bandwidth problem with usb itself. you cant
increase the usb bandwidth as a whole, but unless you connect more devices,
it should work as advertised. what exactly happens? what does cubase say? it
might be a latency issue, so you may need to increase your latency settings
in cubase. is the version of cubase you're using properly compatible with
XP - older versions may not have been so you might need to get the latest
version.

sorry i cant be more specific, but i dont have a laptop or cubase. i just
dont think its a usb bandwidth issue as it sounds like it works normally.
