What operating system are you looking at for the other partition? If it's Millenium/Win '98 etc, you should install this first anyway.  For win 2000, you should be able to you in to your computer's BIOS (ususaly found by pressing del, F1 or F2 on boot) and set the machine to boot of CD.  Once this is done, reboot and look out for any prompts to boot off CD.  Win 2K should then go through the set up process, from which you can chooose which partition you want it insatlled on.

What's the best way of having a dual boot W2k system..?

The W2k version I have requires a previous version of Windows to be already installed - i.e. it won't install from the DOS prompt...

I'll be using PM6...
