If you are wanting to install win2k without having
another version of windows installed prior, just put in your win2k cd in any
machine, and look for something like bootdisk, or startupdisk, or bootedit (i
cant remember the actual name, and i dont have my win2k cd at the moment sorry),
but this will create a set of 4 boot disks, which will let you install win2k
without any other OS installed.

since you are using partition magic, you should also use bootmagic. what you want to do is create two primary partitions. a harddrive can only have one active primary partition at a time, so the boot magic is what sets the partition active at start. the active partition is what will show up as your windows "c:" drive. i think you can have up to 3 or 4 primary partitions on one drive, so you can boot up up to 4 different os's. keep in mind that when a primary partition is set innactive it is invisible to the os so you loose that entire space on the drive.--- Drum&Bass Arena Producers Discussion List http://www.breakbeat.co.uk You are currently subscribed to dnb-prod as: [email protected] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] |
