Hi

Actually I'm using Logic (couldn't get on with Cubase), but unfortunately
its not the VST version, its a version of Logic Silver 3.7 adapted for my
Guillemot ISIS soundcard from 2000).

Its annoying cos it doesn't have VST support so i get all the advantages
like the stability (rock solid) and theres the internal 4 buss mixer that
illustrates the CC messages (filtering etc) i record using the mod wheel and
sends reverb control to the sampler and the environment which is cool (but a
head scratcher from time to time). Its good but i can't use the ES1 synth or
plugins etc as i only have FX and processing available on the audio channels
(which i don;t use as i just use Logic for MIDI control). I would like a new
version of Logic Silver - only about 150 now.

Cheers for the dub tips tho,

Laters

Dan

Dan

Nice one !! and thats a good tip for the vocals. Another interesting vocal
tip is to do it the dub delay way were you route the output of your FX unit
into it's own channel on the desk and feed it back on itself, be very
careful with your speakers, too much will burn em out. Anway, this way you
can EQ the delay, fade it in and out also. Plus if you have your desk setup
properly, you can choose to record only the delay for that atmospheric
wierdy vocal feel.

Now we just need to get you using Logic Audio, it really is a stable beast
and the built in FX take up very little processing power. It really out
performs cubase which I never had much luck with, it would crash after a
while.

Cheers

Scott
