HEhe..

Nope.. It's very basic on the functionality front...  Just a whole load of analog ins and outs and a variety of digital connections.. The main reasons I got it were:

Very good all round quality
24 bit etc..
near zero latency (I get 11ms)
Low CPU usage..

The main reason though was that you can directly monitor in some absolutely crazy combinations!

At the moment I've got:

Deck1 > RME input 1+2
Deck2 > RME input 3+4

RME output 3+4 > DJ mixer
RME output 5+6 > DJ mixer

DJ mixer out 2 > RME input 5+6

DJ mixer out 1 > Main Mixer > speakers

This means I can directly monitor each deck from the pc... Apply effects to them in real time.. Record either each individual deck or the final mix.. Plus I can actually use the DJ mixer to mix two independant PC tracks or one pc track and one record..!

Not strictly relevant I know but it's pretty Feckin' sweet!!!

Only problem is the loop that's created by having the RME card and the DJ mixer both going to the main mixer..
You can get round it by silencing one or other channel on the main mixer though...
Still playing with it to be honest!

When I was choosing the card I looked at all the other ones available and thought "Why do I need the hardware effects when I can do it in software? And most of the hardware effects I've seen are pretty shoddy anyway!" .. (nb. I've only ever really checked the Creamware cards and the SBlive!)..

Hehe... Sorry to go on! I like my soundcard! Can you tell?? :)
