This is essentialy a dub production ethic carried over into drum n bass. Most of Digital's tunes are basically dub tracks with a drum n bass beat. Seems like once an upcoming artist finally breaks through, the quality of the tunes tends to wane as the artist is forced to churn out tracks at a faster clip to keep up with the demand for tunes with their name on it.
