i've got a layla20 too, it can run internally at 24bit, but alas the A/D are only 20bit....
and unless yer using the s/pdif in/out on your tascam, analog in on your layla will always sound better than analog in on your tascam.....the A/D's on most DAT's are crap .....up until i got my 01V, I ran all my analog inputs thru the layla and then mixed down out the layla s/pdif to the tascam....sounds great! If you can push 24bit 96khz then go with that....but don't sweat it if you can't....A slammin track is a slammin track at any bit resolution remember that..... peace -LOS ----- Original Message ----- From: "Hugh G.
