Firstly i think all the softwares are good in there own ways. Remember it also is dependant on the type of hardware (sound card, processor, etc) you have that will make you happy. Secondly understand what the softwares do. ACID Pro is a great software that takes advantage of loops and can "sequence" them into making a song, automatically tune it for you and even help you with mix down. Reason is a great virtual studio that has a built in drum machine, sampler, sequencer and everything you may need. Most people use reason and "wire" it into there favorite sequencer (most of which has had much sucess is with cubase). As far as cubase vs logic it comes down to preference. I know some diehard logic fans and some diehard cubase fans. You can do it with both, they are sequencing programs and have many plugins. Cubase uses VST plugins and Logic uses DirectX. Just thought i'd give you some help, seeing as i was new to this not that long ago. theRENEGADEkemist. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jimmy Lewis" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Drum & Bass Arena Discussion List" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, April 10, 2002 6:05 PM Subject: [dnb-prod] Acid Pro vs Reason vs Cubase vs Logic vs Sonar???? > What are the pros and cons of each and which I should go with?
