You are buying Mackie monitors and are considering getting a Behringer ?

Behringers are cheaper for a reason, they use low grade components.
I've heard they are more prone to blowing up.

Do yourself a favour, get a Mackie.  I think zzsounds are doing 1604's for
less than $350.
