i have the micro Q and i love it. wicked sound imo, not that definitive dnb sound (virus) though, (which i consider a good thing)
great thing about waldorf products is their mailing list, go to http://www.waldorf-gmbh.de and joing that list then ask them questions... (btw, you wont get 25 voices outta the uQ unless the patch you are using is something along the lines of a sine wave, the more complecated the sound, the fewer voices you get, i get like 10-15 in reality) -----Original Message----- From: joe [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, May 22, 2002 8:55 PM To: Drum & Bass Arena Discussion List Subject: [dnb-prod] another question about people's equipment yeah, this is like my third email this week seeing how people like certain equipment, so here goes... i want a virus c, but that ain't gonna happen for a while, so i've been looking at smaller synths, and the waldorf micro q's going for ~$600 on some sites (www.audiomidi.com, www.novamusik.com), and i remember people saying they were pretty damn good... any experience? the only others in this price range are the novation a station, which looks kinda cheap to me, and the korg ms 2000 rack module, which only has 4-voice polyphony, compared to the micro q's 25 which can be upgraded to 75. others are too simple or from brands i've never known anyone to use (anyone have a red sound synth?) any other synths i can look at definitely below $700 that are worth it? joe --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
