which is why the newstuff being done is heavy on the ghost note proramming and frantic percussion like congas and such- the "two step" era left dnb sounding slower than it actually is.  The trend is more towards fast breaks that "feel" fast even if they are at the same tempo as the old ones.  Which makes sense considering it was that manic speed that attracted alot of us to the sound in the first place. So again,  I must bring your attention to the record that started it all and say.....
