Snares on the 2's and 4's is typical for most drums. Maybe slight snare
rolls at the end of 4 bars or whatever.

Kicks on the beats and half beats to make interesting changes.

Open Hats before the snares.

16th Closed hat patterns to give it xtra speed.

Ghosts after the main snare hits.

Shakers, rides, conga's or sticks placed around to give it a little funk.

Cymabls on the first kick to accent the start of a bar or start of 2 bars or
4 bars.

Thats all I know after messing around for a few years, but it's a good set
of rules to stick with.

Compress to fuck, drop the sample rate ... distort on the desk .... to give
it some balls.

Slightly up the pitch of your drums or the envelope to make them fit
together nicely at those speeds.

Cheers

Scott
