it's not the program it's the user....what ever your comfortable using basically.
I just use reason to make loops and then export the loops to wav's and then sequence and do my effects in Logic..   Reason is annoying to sequence in, it's so small.  and your limited to what you can do with the effects, and the eq's aren't great either.  I would suggest using cubase or logic to do your final sequencing and laying out of your tracks...  You have more capabilities using the effects and the compresors in the both programs are way more advanced.
