It seems that the Mac G5 (as with most macs) are built for audio/video production
and graphic design whereas PC's are built for office work, word processing , e.t.c.
if your using your comp primarily for music production might as well get a rig that was designed for that purpose

Hello all,

As you may have noticed, new 64-bit computing has just arrived for the desktop, and as it has come to a point where I need to update my machine, I just wanted to hear some opinions on which to get.

Although I don't want to turn this into an Apple vs Windows argument, in the realm of digital music production, should I go for a Apple dual G5, OR get a AMD Athlon 64 based Windows machine?
