Personally, I'd stick with AMD... Just too much value for money.... although I saw an AMD/IBM Opteron hybrid for sale today (1mb cache and 2.2 G).. for 1200 !!! Surely even business wouldn't fork out that much for one?!? They must be MAJOR workhorses!!
Oh yeah, check out Microsoft's Virtual machine technology for multi-os Windows XP... (It can run other operating systems in a window!).. I'd be surprised if you couldnt get some kind of Mac OS sim for the pc if you were so inclined... (Although, why you would I don't know).. Anyway, I can't believe the pc vs. mac argument is still going, surely, if you want a computer that is cost effective, maintainable and upgradable, then you get a pc.. and if you want a computer that is cute, you get a mac!! Simple.. *Puts on HAZCHEM suit and closes flame bunker behind him* haha..lol! The g5 is bad ass, but the amd is exactly the same technology. the best thing about the amd chip is that allows 32 bit programs to run on it. and effectively. the g5 does this(i think) but i don't trust apple with this. besides, you can get 2 boxes made with the AMD chip for the price of 1 mac, and i KNOW you can do alot more with 2 boxes than one....besides, native instruments stuff runs better on PC --- Drum&Bass Arena Producers Discussion List http://www.breakbeat.co.uk You are currently subscribed to dnb-prod as: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
