I use Battery... probably not so good for stretched samples (loops) but it's great for drums and you can alter filters etc. per sample to your hearts content... oh... and it does layers too (ie: multiple samples on the same note). I think it's easier to get up and running with than Kontact and Halion... but that's just my opinion.
