Bad performance in FreeBSD.

I am running DNEWS in a FreeBSD box.
But I've found that the performance is very bad when user is getting a post body with 
less size.
But it will not happen in large posts.
I have no this problem when I build DNEWS in Windows, Linux and Solaris.
Any advise!!?
