..you try to web browse into an ssh port? 
Tried "ssh -vp 8022 [email protected] "?  
(Or was ipcop's ssh port moved to 222? Too 
long time ago...)

.."nmap -AT4 192.168.127.254 " and "man nmap " 
should help tell you more about it.
