Review comments on behalf of community member via Dan Price... ================================= A community member via IRC let me know about a bug in this doc: http://opensolaris.org/os/community/documentation/reviews/GSG_200906_Review.pdf
As I looked at it, I spotted some more problems. On page 44: REPOSITORY URL REPOSITORY DESCRIPTION http://pkg.opensolaris.org/support Contains newer versions of packages that are regularly updated, based on the discovery and remedy of defects in the released product http://pkg.opensolaris.org/extra Contains software that is available under end-user license terms that does not allow further distribution. The URLS are very wrong: https://pkg.sun.com/opensolaris/support ^ ^^^ ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ https://pkg.sun.com/opensolaris/extra ^ ^^^ ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Also, no mention of the need for a cert/key pair for extra. In general, this text seems a bit off, as it says: "The Package Manager connects to networked repositories to access software packages. You can start by going to https://pkg.sun.com/. Log in with your Sun ID and password to access encumbered packages. If you do not have a Sun ID and password, you can register for an online account on this site." Which doesn't quite seem like the way to "start" to me... ======================== -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
