I've been using the XSL here: docbook-xsl-1.72.0/fo/docbook.xsl I've used this XSL for all books in the tarball; if that's wrong, that could explain my other errors as well as the failure with devref. I used that one explicitly because I was using fop to then build the PDF's. Rainer
