The "xmlto" script seems to work very nicely, even on Solaris. I've
written X.Org docs in DocBook/XML and used it to translate to nroff man
pages and html - I believe it should work with PDF to. (It's so much
easier, I've been tempted to finally learn the SFW process to stick it
in there, but never had enough spare time.)
