One of the most important characteristic of URIs are that they refer
to a specific resource permanently.  That is FAR more important than

visual perspective.

Btw, my theory is that the slow adoption rate of 2.x is simply because of people not being able to easily find the most current version of the documentation at /docs/... oops ;-P
