I'm getting ready to replace the trunk lifts (hydraulic supports for the trunk lid) since they don't do much. I used the trunk for the first time this past weekend (wow is that thing huge!) but it made me nervous when my 10 year old forgot himself and almost closed it with a simple little one hand push, which would have sent the lid screaming down at mach 4 onto his little brother's head. Autozone seems to have them for $20 each, dealer wants $28, not knowing where else to look, nor wishing to make a big deal out of this I will order from Autozone tomorrow. Are there methods for replacing these or is it simple? Never dealt with such things before.
