Aftermarket door moldings? That's a new one on me.
I'm not sure whats underneathe the door moldings on a
2nd gen trep. But on my First gen there is nothing
special underneathe. You could just remove them and
spend some time cleaning up the remains of the two
sided tape. You could remove and then reinstall with
good 3M two sided adhesive tape. You'll still have to
remove and clean, but you might find that the paint
underneathe is a slightly different shade that what's
been exposed to the sun all this time. If money is no
object repaint the car. The body shop guy will remove
and sand down the door panels anyways. :)
Is this what you were getting at? I've never heard of
aftermarket body moldings, so I don't know if this
helped any.
