That is a good story - thanks for sharing it with us. One thing I
would add is always check the part you get with the part number
before you leave the shop. I ordered up a motorcycle master
cyclinder for a buddy in South America. They call me and say it is
in and I went to collect it. He hands me this box something like
like a medium size phone book. "Ok.... I don't think this is right"
I say to the parts guy at a very respected shop in town. He checks
the number on the box then hands it back ans says "yup right part
number". Ok I said and started to walk away. I decided that I
didn't want to find out it was wrong at home and have to drive all
the way back so I say "it can't be right. I know how big the Master
cyclinder is and this box is way too big." So he decides to open the
box and low and behold he had been right it was the right part but
THERE WERE 25 OF THE DAMN THINGS IN THE BOX!!! This bright guy was
giving me one yes only one, BOX of master cylinders. So these guys
are not perfect.
He should have really thanked me as the 25 were worth something like
$2500.
