I too made a panic stop and turn with my wife's '96 Concorde, and broke the trans mount, and it felt "different" after that. I did a visual inspection with some help, and shifting from drive to reverse. The mount is captive, but when the rubber breaks, you loose some support, which allows the engine/trans to torque from side to side, and changes the steering geometry. FWIW!
