Ok we have gone from bad to worse repace the sensor with a second
from dodge looks identical to the after market.
after changing it out now you can feel the camsensor ring hitting the
sensor and no this one dosent have a gap adjusment it goes in at a 90
deg angle.
Took the valve cover off to look the camsensor ring is warped and
hitting the sensor with one spor cracked so I ordered on form dodge
today
They say and it looks like its rivited to the cam sproket the part
somes as one piece. I would sure love it if any one knows if you can
cut the rivets and put in bolts or if it dose come apart on the 2004.
how hard will it be to change out the hole sproket on top of the head.
To me I think I will have to pull out the 2 chain tensioners on each
side of the motor and then wile holding preasure on the chain swap
out the sproket.
I think I will use some paint on the chain lined up with some of the
notches in the sensor ring to make sure I get it back in the right
place.
Not a fun job any way I look at it any advice would be help full.
Thank you
Gina Barker
