Was this a new Mopar sensor, or an aftermarket jobby? I recently encountered two different aftermarket crankshaft sensors (same principle as the cam) and the magnet in them was barely enough to lift a 3/8" nut. One was a bosch, one was a Delco I think.
The mopar sensor was like a cow magnet. Once it picked up the nut, I couldn't shake it off. Stronger magnet=better cleaner signal to the ECM. The problem was an intermittent misfire and some difficult starting some of the time. Once again, the more expensive sensor saves the day. In park or neutral, it is normal not to be able to rev over 2500 RPM. My '98 and '00 will go to about 3100 RPM and hits the rev limiter. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
