sorry to take so long. Yes it was penzoil I have just bought the car and now changed it over to mobil one. the oil that was in it was turring brown a nother thing when i got the car the heater was bad to stow working and the temp came up all at once. In my opinion one of the slug problems with regular oil is the colling system is not getting up to the head if the water is low. causing the head to get to hot. and cook the oil. But I do think even on a good day the motor needs synthetic. Gina Barker
