Hey Wade;

I have a 96 3.5L as well, 178K on it right now. Bought it in April of
2000 with 94K on it.

I had a lot of things that needed replacement right after the 100K
marker. I did the water pump/timing belt, thermostat, serpentine belt,
new battery, and tires in pretty quick succession.

Other than that, however, there's been no major repairs to it. I have
some things I need to do now...the transmission hoses are leaking a bit,
radiator leaks a bit, etc. Nothing serious, though.

I would ask if anything "big" has been done recently, and if not, know
that you might be looking at something soon, like the water pump.
Otherwise, $4000 isn't too shabby.  I paid $6900 for mine and it's
probably given me close to $10K at least in use, if not more. Nice car.

Nathan
