No, fair enough, I know that a lot of them DO get rebuilt.  I'm just 
saying it doesn't seem to be consistent -- my 96 now has 178K and never 
had a single issue with the tranny, whereas yours did, and others have, 
too.  It just doesn't seem to be a consistent pattern, that's all. :)
