After 6+ years and 86,000 miles of driving, I sold my 98 Intrepid last week in trade for an 04 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited.
The 'trep had 118,000 miles and had started getting flaky. It had an intermittent condition where it would idle poorly at startup and barely run, then die. I was starting to suspect the PCM on that one. The real killer was the development of a transmission whine at low temps. Having just dumped an incredible amount of cash into it repairing a power steering issue, I wasn't about to spend more on a 9-year-old car. Its body was still in very good condition, and it brought $2200 in trade. So the Intrepid is gone. It was a good car, more or less.
