1. Which engine? If it's the 3.2 or the 3.5 the cam sensor isn't too bad of a job if you're willing to take the upper portion of the intake manifold off. If that sounds like more than you're bargaining for, you are probably going to spend a few hundred gettin it replaced. IIRC the sensor wasn't too expensive; maybe about $50 or so. Unfortunately, the part is right in plain sight but there isn't enough clearance to just remove it without loosening the plastic intake. The air around me turned a little bluer when I realized that.
2. Change oil/filter brands at will. No worries. No harm will come to your engine. --Geoff On Dec 10, 2007 6:14 AM, Pam McMurray <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > 1.) > I thought I just had some bad gas.... > traffic was horrible and I ended up running my car till the gas light came > on and then some trying to get to a gas station. > Once I did, soon as I took off from the g.s. my car started putting and > pulling....would you call that surging???? > AND the engine light came on. > I took the car home until yesterday and drove it to advance to have the > meter put on it. > It says....Camshaft sensor A > Bank 1 > > what is this??? > is it expensive? > Is it something with my book I could maybe do??? > 2.) > I have almost 80,000 miles on my 2002.
