If it is a 3.2L engine, the sensor is located on top of the driver's side
timing cover, sandwiched in the space between the front of the upper intake
manifold and the top of the timing cover housing. The upper intake must be
at least loosened if not removed in order to gain enough clearance to R&R
the sensor. It is not a terrible job, at least compared to some on this
car. If the car is near the 100K mile mark, you should probably change the
water pump, timing belt, tensioner and tensioner pulley. A snapped timing
belt on these engines creates the need for a **very expensive** repair,
don't ask me how I know. You will probably also want to change the
thermostat, which is located on the side of the engine, and IS a miserable
bastard of a job, but not too bad while you've got everything torn down for
the timing belt replacement. By the way, it is entirely possible and
probably even preferable to R&R the timing belt on this motor without
removing the crank pulley. You'll thank me for this particular tidbit if
you take this job on yourself. I've done it both ways and strongly
preferred not removing the pulley.

If it's a 2.7L engine, sorry, I don't know where it is. The 2.7L uses
timing chains which do not have a recommended replacement interval, and I'm
not sure if the water pump has a recommended life either.
