I cannot remember what kind of brake problems you were having. I am assuming it is a shaking when you push on the brake pedal resulting from warped rotors.
You can take a very cheap brake rotor and have it slotted and it isn't going to survive the heat any better than any other rotor. Just FYI. Some rotors aren't worth the metal they are made out of. My questions are: is it just one brake rotor that is giving you troubles or all four on the car? Sometimes you can get a stuck caliper that'll have a wheel drag excessively and build up excessive heat. It only takes one rotor out of the four to cause this shaking. A guy at a local muffler & brake shop told me that the pads can cause the rotors to warp as well. He told me that ceramic pads generate more heat and will more easily lead to rotor warpage. But I've been using ceramic pads on Carquest rotors over the last few years on many cars and I never had an issue with them yet, so I have not been able to confirm his theory. Have you tried pads and rotors from the Chrysler/Dodge dealer?
