wow, scares me to think my car came with Dodge rotors and pads and I had my rotors turned for the first time right over 800 miles. That what I say, this has been a bad problem with this car. NEVER have I had such problems with brakes OR I would think I was riding them or something. I did put slotted rotors and ceramic pads on the last time and they did last longer. That is why I was requesting some info from you all.... should I continue that OR do you think something is better. thanks so much to all of you. ~Pammie~ ----- Original Message ----- From: alvin kilpatrick To: [email protected] Sent: Thursday, February 21, 2008 6:51 AM Subject: Re: [dodge_intrepid] rotors
Pam ,I don't know if you are using ceramic pads or not ,but I have had to take them off my car due to the increased pedal effort resulting in increased heat on the rotor, which just makes them warp more.Right now I am using new rotors from Dodge on the front with the Dodge pads as came on the car and have had no vibrations since switching back. I think your rotors have probably been turned down one or more times which also makes them warp easier, the new rotors at the dealer are I think less than a hundred dollars, and you probably only need the front ones. I have about 140,000 miles on my 02 SE with 2.7 and just LOVE it ,hope this helps. regards,Alvin Pam McMurray <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: I have a 2002 se interpid with the 2.7 I am at 80,000 miles and have had nothign but troublw with my brakes. I have replaced teh rotors 3 or 4 times and now they need it again. any suggestions on what really is best. I used slotted the last time.
