No No continue with Slick BUT add an electronic ignition with bottom holes
in head. A good magneto (especially with a jet of cool air onto case) is
TOTALLY reliable and that is what you want.  Our Sauer manual says "if
magneto fails fly to nearest airport and have it repaired but if electronic
ignition fails then flow to your home airfield and repair then"  Also I
think you would loose your certification with electronic ignition.

It might be old technology and heavy but it is reliable
